This repository provides tools and instructions to download YouTube videos using yt-dlp.

Automated Download Script

A convenience shell script download_youtube_video.sh is provided to automate the setup of yt-dlp in a virtual environment and download a specified YouTube video.

Usage:

./download_youtube_video.sh <youtube_video_url>

Example:

./download_youtube_video.sh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCBlgO3sNlw

YouTube Video Transcription

This repository also provides tools and instructions for transcribing YouTube videos to text.

For detailed instructions on setting up Whisper and using it for transcription, please refer to:

An automated shell script transcribe.sh is provided to simplify the process of downloading audio from a YouTube video and transcribing it.

Usage:

./transcribe.sh <youtube_video_url>

Example:
